Lina Teir is a Finno-Swedish multi-instrumentalist, composer, and performance artist known for blending music, storytelling, relational arts and audience involvement into powerful, emotionally engaging experiences. Specialising in dramaturgy, audience involvement, and oral storytelling, Lina creates poetic and thought-provoking works that explore themes like identity, belonging, and cultural complexity. As a director and playwright, she crafts site-specific, participatory, and immersive performances, inviting the audience into the story's heart.
She is the founder of GLÖD—Centre for Storytelling in Vasa (FIN), the former artistic director of the festivals Seaside Stories (FIN) and Fortellerfestivalen (NO), and a mentor in the Cassandra Project (FEST Europe), which guides young socially engaged storytellers across Europe.
With a Senior Lecturer in drama, music, and creative learning background, Lina bridges art and education with a strong sense of purpose and artistic integrity. Her unique combination of musical craft and narrative depth makes her a standout voice in contemporary performance.
