Lina Teir

- artist, educator, creative mentor

What am I here for, what role can I play

In a world screaming with nothing to say?

These are some lines in one of my newest songs “Home” and I hope that you feel that. I hope that you feel at home here at my page and that you feel that what I want to do with my life - create and inspire others to create with love - resonates with you and gives you inspiration!

You can watch and listen to one of my latest performances below and read more about what I offer professionally, personally, playfully. Don´t hesitate to reach out if your intuition tells you that we could work well together - I´d love to help you develop your creative project, including the lifelong creative project “life”.

I hope to hear from you, until then I wish you inspired days and the courage to find support in others the days that you can´t find it in yourself. You’re here to create.

Roots & Wings

Lina Teir is performing her song “Roots and wings” in an arrangement for 10 musicians in Ulrika Eleonora church in her hometown Kristinestad, Finland during her site-specific concert with the same name in July 2025. Singing in English and speaking in her mother tongue, an ancient Swedish dialect spoken only locally on the west coast of Finland, she tells about birds that are free to come and go and to fly over boarders to the children in Gaza and Ukraine.

Lina Teir is a Finno-Swedish multi-instrumentalist, composer, and performance artist known for blending music, storytelling, relational arts and audience involvement into powerful, emotionally engaging experiences. Specialising in dramaturgy, audience involvement, and oral storytelling, Lina creates poetic and thought-provoking works that explore themes like identity, belonging, and cultural complexity. As a director and playwright, she crafts site-specific, participatory, and immersive performances, inviting the audience into the story's heart.

Lina is often developing innovative, cross-disciplinal projects and has background as the founder of GLÖD—Centre for Storytelling in Vasa (FIN), the artistic director of the festivals Seaside Stories (FIN) and Fortellerfestivalen (NO), and as a mentor in the Cassandra Project (FEST Europe), which guides young socially engaged storytellers across Europe. She is the founder and artistic director of Lîla Creative Space - a creative platform that offers inspiration, knowledge and support to creatives and change-makers online and in different parts of Europe.

With a Senior Lecturer in drama, music, and creative learning background, Lina bridges art and education with a strong sense of purpose and artistic integrity. Her unique combination of musical craft and narrative depth makes her a standout voice in contemporary performance.
